overview
Mālama Learning Center has worked closely with public and private land managers to care for natural areas important to creating a healthy community.
Our current sites in Leeward Oʻahu are located in:
Pālehua (with the Gill 'Ewa Lands, LLC and Pālehua Partners Joint Venture)
Nānākuli muliwai
(with the City & County Parks Department and various partners)
Kaʻala Kīpuka (with Kaʻala Farm)
Awāwalei (with Hawaiʻi Agriculture Research Center)
Our past sites in Leeward O'ahu have included:
Piliokahe Beach Park
(with the City & County Parks Department
Kalaeloa Unit of the Pearl Harbor National Wildlife Refuge
(with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service)
We will endeavor to work closely with the landowners and community to help care for, mālama, these sites. Control of invasive species and reintroduction of native species has been central to all projects.
