Arbor Day is a formally designated day around the world dedicated to honoring, planting and enjoying the benefits of trees. Arbor Day has been recognized in Hawai’i for over 110 years, and every November communities across the Hawaiian islands gather to celebrate trees! November marks the beginning of the rainy season in Hawai‘i, which is the perfect time to plant a tree!
In 2020, Arbor Day Hawai’i was celebrated on Saturday, November 7th, 2020. Mālama Learning Center was pleased to take part in two types of events in celebration of Arbor Day 2020 even during the COVID-19 pandemic! Mahalo to all of our partners for making these events hugely successful!
