Hawai'i Environmental Education Alliance
|
Mālama Learning Center is working closely with the State Department of Land and Natural Resources and many others in the environmental education (EE) field to build the Hawai‘i Environmental Education Alliance (HEEA).
The mission of HEEA is to promote and develop high quality environmental education by building relationships to improve networking and professionalism throughout Hawai`i. HEEA's vision is an informed and engaged island community that values Hawaii's uniqueness and lives sustainably.
A major product of HEEA is a searchable on-line database of EE resources and opportunities for the people of Hawai‘i. Data is currently being collected for this database. If you are an EE provider and would like to be included in this database, please contact Janice Staab at: janice@malamalearningcenter.org. Mahalo to the U.S. Forest Service for funding this project.
Follow HEEA on Facebook.

HEEA's working group, comprised of environmental education representatives from Hawai`i Island, Maui, Moloka`i, O`ahu, and Kaua`i, is laying the foundation for the organization. |
